The short version

We collect only the information we need to run Cuddlefish Cuts, fulfill orders, keep the site working, and respond when you contact us. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

When you shop or place an order

Our cart and checkout are provided through Shopify. Depending on what you do, Shopify may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, order details, and payment-related information. Cuddlefish Cuts receives the order and customer details needed to make, ship, and support your purchase. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.

When you contact us

If you use our contact form or email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, topic, order number, message, and any attachments you email separately.

When you use the website

Our hosting providers may record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, timestamps, and error details for security and reliability. When you allow analytics, the storefront records aggregate page views and internal navigation destinations, product impressions, product-page views, product clicks, and checkout starts so we can understand what shoppers find useful. Successful Add to Cart actions are counted as an essential commerce measurement. Shopify also sends signed payment, refund, and cancellation notices so our private system can maintain bounded per-product paid-unit and net-revenue totals. We retain only the internal order reference and product totals needed to apply later refunds or cancellations; we do not copy customer contact, shipping, or payment details into this analytics state.

• To answer questions and resolve order or product problems.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
• To choose a balanced daily selection of featured products using aggregate interest and commerce signals.
• To meet legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping obligations.

Cookies and similar technology

We use an essential cookie to remember your Shopify cart. Shopify may use additional cookies or similar technologies when it provides cart, checkout, consent, and analytics services. Analytics is sent only when Shopify's customer-privacy controls indicate it is allowed. Our contact form may use Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and abuse. We do not currently use advertising pixels or behavior-based advertising trackers on this storefront.

You can use the “Privacy Choices” control in the footer to review your consent preference. Your browser can also block or delete cookies, but the cart and other essential features may not work correctly afterward.

Who helps us operate the shop

We share information only when needed with service providers that help us run the shop. These may include Shopify for commerce, checkout, consent, and permitted storefront analytics; DigitalOcean for application hosting and private aggregate analytics storage; Resend or another email provider for contact-form delivery; Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection when enabled; shipping carriers; and professional advisers or authorities when legally required.

Those providers may process information under their own privacy terms. Shopify checkout is governed by Shopify's systems and policies in addition to this policy.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including order fulfillment, customer support, business records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by the kind of information.

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can promise perfect security. Please do not send sensitive payment information through our contact form or ordinary email.

Your choices

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion where applicable, or ask a privacy question by contacting us at [email protected]. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, or order-support reasons.

You can also select “Privacy Choices” in the footer, manage cookies through your browser, and manage order or checkout information through the options Shopify makes available.

Children's privacy

Cuddlefish Cuts is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the shop, our tools, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
